The Coworking Spain Conference (CWSC), the event of the most relevant coworking sector in Spain, reaches its eighth edition and turns international for the first time. Organized by CoworkingSpain, Marc Navarro and CoEspai, the CWSC will be held on 24th and 25th of April in ADDA Space from Diputación de Alicante, and April 26th in Glub Center (Alicante).
This morning the novelties of the edition 2019 have been presented in Glub Center, technical office of the CWSC in Alicante. Manuel Zea, organizer of the CWSC, explained that "the coworking sector is global and we have seen the need to open up to other countries to share knowledge. We hope that between 25%-50% of the attendees are foreigners and we have speakers from UK, Germany, Denmark or Greece. " In this regard, the Organization has explained that during the Conference a Spanish-English simultaneous translation service will be offered to international attendees.
The creation of the coworking Academy is another of the novelties of this edition. After the CWSC, on the 26th, the day oriented to a masterclass format will be celebrated. It ́s been created by and for professionals of the sector to deal with those key issues for the correct management of a coworking.
INTERNATIONAL PROGRAMME
The conference will begin on Wednesday, April 24th with the welcome of Manuel Zea, founder of CoworkingSpain, who will offer his presentation The state of coworking in Spain. Elena Gomis, PMP and CEO of GLUB, will present her lecture From opportunity to launch. Then it will be the turn of Ivan Lopez, general manager of Republikken, who will present his lecture The challenge of being the first coworking space of Copenhagen.
During this first day the lectures of Gabi Espin and Franz Pallerés from ATICCO Barcelona, will also be presented and they will talk about Growing without a hedge fund. Arancha Riestra, manager of the technological ecosystem and coworking space Go Madrid, will talk about How to open a coworking among so many giants. In the afternoon it will be Eva Vives turn, community manager of One Cowork, who will talk about The coworking club. She will use the agora format room, created to be collaborative, a space of exhibition and debate. Lucía Obiol, who will moderate the agora Coworking in the suburbs. After the afternoon session, a visit was scheduled to Ciudad de la Luz - Digital District where lectures and cocktails were be held.
The second day, on Thursday 25th of April, James Rankin, research and analysis manager of Instant Group, will talk about The evolution of the sector by Instant Office. Alejandro Papadopuolos, CEO and co-founder of MOB, will focus on How to grow while maintaining your DNA. Then Marcos Horna, CEO and co-founder of Betahaus, will tell us The most critical processes of a coworking space. Antonio Gonzalez, CEO of Impact Hub Madrid, will expose How to implement a strategy for integrating coworking objectives.
During the day, three different agoras will be held. The first one will be moderated by Lorène Garcia, responsible for Mob Pau and Mob Agency Lead and it will discuss Coworking Tricks. The second will be moderated by Esther Navarro, member of PBC and co-founder of Genion, who will try to solve the question What do we ask a coworking association for? The last one will be moderated by Joana Carvalho, co-founder of DINAMO10, and will be about how coworking is far from the big capitals with the agora titled Coworking from north to south.
The day will end with the lecture Different perspectives when managing conflicts, moderated by María Santos, founder of Equipoeme. During the two days there will be different networking activities for all attendees.
THE FIRST COWORKING ACADEMY
The first edition of this intensive training format of the coworking sector will be held on April 26th at Glub Center in Alicante, providing continuity to the CWSC. There are also 6 training scholarships that offer the opportunity to access the course for free. The period to win them is open from January 21st and will be closed on April 22nd.
The day will begin with the presentation made by Marc Navarro Coworking Canvas. Next, Joana Carvalho, will explain How to design a coworking. Later, Javier Reina, CEO of Business World Alicante – Business Center, will talk about The economic management of a coworking and Laura Alonso, events manager at Impact Hub Madrid, will tell us about The relevance of communication, events and marketing in the sector . The conference will end with the presentation of Kristina Schneinder, product manager of CoBot, with her Coworking Practical Tech; And then it will conclude with Law and coworking by Alejandro Papadopoulos.
