Valencia, May 4, 2023.- The national and European coworking industry meets at the twelfth edition of the Coworking Spain Conference 2023 (CWSC) , which is held in the city of Valencia, on May 9 and 10. After the downturn suffered by the pandemic, the sector has reinvented itself and has gradually recovered its activity, managing to come out stronger in the face of the new social panorama that encourages it to seek new spaces and ways of working. The real x-ray of the sector will be known during the meeting with the presentation of the State of Coworking 2022-23 report , which will detail relevant data on the size of the market and competition between large operators; a study that already last year revealed a growth of 39% in 2021.
It is expected that more than 200 attendees representing the most influential players in the coworking , coliving and flework sector will participate in the meeting. They search this forum for services that can be adapted to different spaces, as well as trends, inspiration and learning new business and work formulas. Over two days , 32 presentations will be presented, 50% of which will be national and international experts from Europe and Latin America; among others, speakers from Great Britain, Ukraine, Mexico and Chile will present the situation of their corresponding markets.
In its 12-year history, CWSC is positioned as the second largest and oldest Coworking Conference in the world. It has witnessed the evolution of a national sector and has had the ability to attract, year after year, both small and large international real estate companies that seek to position themselves as benchmarks in the sector, as well as entrepreneurs, freelancers, startups and even directors of Human Resources that need to apply hybrid labor formulas.
Manuel Zea, CEO of the CoworkingSpain platform and promoter of the CWSC, defines the Conference as "a learning forum whose greatest value resides in the attendees themselves because of the way they relate and how they create incredible connections that drives them to constantly improve the spaces. In this meeting, many coworking spaces have been born and business purchasing contacts have been established. This twelfth edition is not going to be different ”.
A program with trends
Spain remains the second best country to work remotely thanks to the speed of the internet, the large number of coworking spaces and visas for freelancers. It has 1,500 coworking spaces. For this reason, what is exhibited at CWSC 2023 will mark the steps of the sector for the following year.
Within the program, the interventions of the top managers of Merlin Properties and Colonial will stand out, who will talk about Socimis and flexible work spaces ; new coworking locations, such as historic buildings and shopping malls; the automation of spaces with a bot ; or the development of coworking in the rural world.
For those who want to get started in the coworking world, a Flex Work Academy masterclass is scheduled to take place on May 8, one day before the opening of CWSC 2023.
In the last 12 years, the CWSC has brought together 1,800 face-to-face attendees and more than 4,000 virtual ones. 264 conferences have been held and more than 300 speakers have participated. It was the first coworking conference to incorporate a code of conduct in 2018. Now it is part of its ethical and social responsibility position, recognizing and committing to the principles of gender equality. The code represents a commitment for all the participants of the meeting.
