Ways to boost your business thanks to coworking by Luis Flores of Coworking Móstoles

By coworkingspain

Good morning Coworking Community, today I would like to talk to you about how to boost your own businesses thanks to your Coworking and the community formed in it.

In this article I would like to simply tell you my story in case I could help you.

Manager of a medium space Profitable?

My Coworking space, today, is profitable. This idyllic situation for a Coworking manager has not always been this way, I have experienced crisis situations equal to those that more fellow managers will have lived. For a while, it would have been unfeasible to continue with Coworking if it weren't for another job, in this case Online Marketing.

My project grew thanks to:

  • Offer my services to coworking partners (and later to anyone who goes through it)
  • Offer services from my colleagues (which complemented my services)
  • Expand services using the infrastructure that coworking provided me (classes in meeting rooms, events, etc ...)
  • Expand my commercial network (The coworkers themselves move your work)

Offer my services

Naturally I saw how there were colleagues who had projects with a lot of potential but lacked visibility. I helped them with small campaigns that we were doing to broaden their reach, so they quickly started working and started asking me for more. The fact of sharing space on a daily basis makes the relationship as a client even easier, since we both know how the other works. Later I started offering it not only to people who were already in the Coworking, but also dropped it to those who came to see the space giving a differential value to it.

Offer services from my colleagues

By spending so much time with fellow Coworkers you also know their work in detail and therefore you can act as a commercial for their services. Practical examples: Many times, to advertise online, we need professional photos and the client does not have a trusted photographer or you need a programmer to add functionality to your website and whoever created it is no longer available. Photographer and programmer are profiles that I usually see in different Coworking spaces, so when that service is demanded, who better than my colleagues to do it? In addition, I was in charge of project management and that it was carried out with adequate quality in a timely manner, so I have taken a small commission from both sides.

Expand services using the infrastructure that Coworking provided me (classes in meeting rooms, events, etc ...)

I always liked to teach and when I saw that I was reserved the room many times to teach classes, I thought about using it also to teach classes. It was a success because there is a lot of demand for Online Marketing training and, in addition, there were students who became customers. We also did events such as Meeting Nights where we not only had a good time training but we also expanded the network of collaborators.

Expand my commercial network (The coworkers themselves move your work)

And finally, what to say, there is no better commercial than a happy customer. When you do your job well and the client is happy, he does not hesitate to recommend you, and it happens like when you work with Coworkers, they are already referred, they are not clients that you have caught in the cold door and you start the relationship from scratch.

I hope this article has helped you and, finally, mention as a curiosity that I am currently taking these 2 passions (Coworking and Online Marketing) to offer Specialized Online Marketing services in Coworking where I hope to help colleagues who are starting in the Coworking adventure to gain visibility and coworkers.
